One of the key objectives of the EU Green Deal is to engage, support, and accelerate the transition of EU companies towards a sustainable growth model. SMEs play a crucial role in the EU economy, operating in some of the most energy-intensive sectors. While energy audits are effective in addressing issues in larger companies, SMEs often need more guidance and hands-on support to implement the recommendations from these audits.
The EnergyEfficiency4SMEs project has ambitious goals. It aims to directly support 1,000 companies in implementing energy audits and will conduct 140 new audits during the project’s lifetime. Additionally, 1,000 company staff members will enhance their skills and knowledge on energy efficiency, along with 200 energy auditors and other stakeholders receiving specialized training. These efforts focus on fostering sustainable energy practices across SMEs, ensuring both immediate and long-term benefits.
